My brother recently purchased a 1984 El Camino and i want to find out how can i tell if its a true super sport. It has a decal in the back that says super sport but it just looks like a decal someone just put there.

The SS has a different front end on it with a rubber, molded in bumper, bucket seats, console etc.. If it has all this, it's probably legit, but google el camino to see if there are any clubs out there, and you will be able to find the info you need.

Is it a v-8,bucket seats and console shift?Does it have sport wheels and side graphics? Does it have a deep front spoiler and a rare gm paint color? If you answer yes to half these questions then-Yes it is 75% likely to be a S.S. ! Follow-up on the VIN to gain truth.
