I constantly feel pressurized and stressed out by the amount of workload and tests at my current school (which is one of the best in the country). I am tired of getting few hours of sleep everyday to study for tests and for homework, and I dislike the fact that I am competing with everyone in my school; what makes it worse is that I crumble under pressure. Should I change to a school which has a less pressurizing and stressful environment? I think I will be happier and do better there. Do you think it is worth it changing my excellent school education for an average one and exchange it for two years of happier school days?

Thank you.

only you can make the decision. we can only share opinions. but, since you are thinking this way, visit with your counselor and make an informed decision.

I feel sorry for you. I am in college right this minute trying to finish my bachelors degree and I know how you feel about the stress. I have come home crying several times because of the stress. ( I am 51 years old)
I am assuming that you are possibly a sophomore, you did not state your age. I would talk to the councelor and your parents and see what they think. Then as my husband says to me - YOU have to make a decision that YOU are happy with. If you feel like this is the right choice, then I would say go for it and be happy.
I used to tell my daughter "You are only young once, after that you have to be an adult." Now that she is 26 years old and working, she tells me that she wishes she would have listened to me.
Hope this is some help. Best of luck to you and whatever you decide.
