I am trying to build relationships with other governments in preparation for a Democratic takeover…I want to make clear that there is an opposition in America and that we are ready to take power and that when we do, we are going to have much better relationships with them.
is this not demonstrated in perfect clarity exactly what nancy pelosi was doing in the middle east? he actions are certainly traitorous, dont you agree? if you dont agree, read article 2, section2 of the constitution and you will be informed.
this is reason enough to vote republican.

others who went to syria did nothing like she did especially with her position as speaker of the house. she had the nerve to speak on behalf of another country, israel, who was then forced to rebuke her publicly. shes a tool for the terrorists! nice pics nancy, with a terrorist/assassin!

Pelosi (according to Dick Morris on last night's Hannity and Colmes) told a Democrat who wanted to submit a good energy plan that nothing would even be debated by congress if there was any chance it would improve or solve things and possibly help make Bush look good. So we are in for two years of this partisan pissing contest so the dems will have a better chance of winning the white house. Wake up, America. Before it is too late!

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid. I don't know what you read in that article of the Constitution and I'm trying to figure out how you can draw that conclusion. Here I'll try a Republican talking point to defeat your own argument. Other congresspeople have gone oversees to speak with foreign countries, this is no different from Newt doing it in the 90s and hey what about the Republicans who visited the day before Pelosi and the same day as Pelosi. As a member of Congress and especially because she is the Speaker of the House it is her prerogative!
As far as the taking power comment, see what the line in Vegas is on any Republican getting into the oval office is. The writing is on the wall and it's a nasty 4 letter word I R A Q....
Maybe she wants the world to know that there is a more rational side to America.

Pelosi is not the chairman of the Democratic National Committee. She is the Speaker of the House of Representatives. She wasn't in Syria to set policy, and she didn't. Even if she had gone there to do that, anything would be preferable to George Bush's pitiful attempts at diplomacy and handling of foreign policy. I think he has amply demonstrated he is a failure at both.
There is nothing on this green earth that could induce me to vote Republican.

Pelosi visited Syria, but so did George W. Bush's secretary for human rights approximately 3 weeks earlier. Days after Pelosi visited Syria, 3 Republican senators also visited Syria.
I'm not sure how visiting syria could be considered traitorous considering Bush's own people visit regularly.
Remember Syria was a USA ally in 1991 when we attacked Saddam Hussein in the gulf war. Republicans tend to have very short memories.

What exactly do you mean by that that that part of the constitution doesn't give the president unilateral authority in terms of foreign relations. The congress is allowed to deal with diplomacy in a manner they so choose. As has become all too clear lately politicians play for keeps so that statement shouldn't surprise anyone.

It's DEMOCRATIC National Committee. Get it right!
I am disgusted by the readily resort to accusations of treason on the part of right-wingers. Read the Constitution. It specifies that treason shall consist of waging war against America, or giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war. WE ARE NOT IN A FORMAL STATE OF WAR WITH SYRIA.
Where were you when Dennis Hastert was doing his own Foreign Policy? Or Newt Gingrich? Didn't have anything to say about that, did you??

Right, because only six-gun justice works for you, true? You probably think anyone, any nation that stands alone without being a puppet for the US ought to bombed into the stone age, as I believe Ann 'Adam's Apple' Coulter said.
Diplomacy must always be the first step, even the second, and military people like Eisenhower would plainly agree with me.
Stop looking for another war to further drag your country down.

Technically youre right. I feel like this would be squashed if the president chose to seek charges against Nancy Pelosi because of the personal vendetta she chose to make public by going to Syria. The problem with this is it could backfire and instead of the Democratic leadership falling in line they may rally to her cause.

Pelosi should be tried along with bill clinton for treason and consorting with the enemy and then promptly executed right after clinton, or side by side. The Ho should never be in a position of power. Our enemies WANT the Dimocrits in power because they know they will be able to destroy us without resistance because sympathizers are running America.

Sweetie, it's been done before..on both sides of the aisle. Pelosi only followed the recommendations of the bi-partisan Iraq Study group and re-iterated Bush's idiotic foreign policy according to Repubs. accompanying her. Can you please source your accusations?
WASHINGTON –– While the Clinton administration was pressuring Colombia to stop human rights abuses, Rep. Dennis Hastert was telling the country's police and military leaders that rights concerns were overblown, a newly declassified government document says.
In a May 1997 visit to Colombia before becoming House speaker, Hastert "decried 'leftist-dominated'" U.S. Congresses of years past that "used human rights as an excuse to aid the left in other countries," according to a cable signed by then-Ambassador Myles Frechette.
Hastert "vowed that he was committed to correcting that situation," it said.
Hastert also encouraged Colombian military and police to bypass the White House and deal directly with Congress, the cable said.
