no. the second best selling book of all time is probably the "little red book" (the quotations of Mao) that was essentially a required possesion for a long time in China.

The third appears to be the Koran, though it's difficult to say exactly how many copies of these old texts have been printed and of course significant variations are enough that some would argue one text of the bible should be considered a seperate book entirely.

A list of best selling books can be found on here:

hope that helps

As far as I know the number two best-selling book was Don Quixote by M. Servantes. Since it was written and, later on, published and translated in almost every language on earth, it was sold in nearly as many quantities as the Bible.

Wikepidia seem to have mostly modern /contemporary writers on the "most popular" list (except for Bible and Koran). Don Quixote earned it's no. 2 spot over the past few centures, not years..

the list in Wikipedia doesn't include the bible and the Quron. Which in my mind makes the list meaning list. also by Wikipedia it self states that mein kampf sold 10 million copies by 1945 but yet doesn't make the list of 10 million+ sales. that makes no sense.

reading the new edition, easier to read. Better translation. Hitler may have been a mad man but he was a great politician and orator Very weird read. Hard to belief how people followed him into hell. Harder to believe is why no one killed him. Why England and France allowed him to come to power. Hitler was around for a long time. Should have killed him when they had him locked up. Easier to under stand during the time.

No. Nowhere near. At one time Mao's Little Red Book outsold the Bible and I don't know if the Bible has caught up yet.

This web site says #2, is Mao's little red book, which makes sense given the sheer number of chinese people and the attempt to give em all one.
