Yes there are. But there's expensive and only a few doctors do this surgery. And having the surgery is no guarantee that she won't ever run into her previous lover, while in the company of this guy.

Your "friend's" guy needs to learn more than a bit about the non-relationship between the hymen and virginity. Yes, it is a non-relationship. Some baby girls are born without a hymen, so how can it possibly have any relationship to virginity? That's aside from the fact that it's very, very easy to tear your hymen in any number of non-sexual ways.

Hopefully, the links below will help this neanderthal. But I highly doubt it. I suspect that your friend will find that this is only the tip of the iceberg as regards his feelings about women and about how women shoud be (mis)treated. This stupidity ought to be a deal-breaker, and the sooner, the better.

Yes there are procedures that a doctor can do to restore the virginity so she should definitely see a doctor. However, the fact that she was with another man may come out at some point in the future so she might want to think about whether or not keeping this from him is a good idea. A good marriage is built on trust and honesty, as well as good communication and acceptance of each other. Starting a marriage with a lie is not a good idea. I've been happily married for 19 years and while it hasn't always been easy, those basic principles have gotten us through a lot of hard times.

There is an operation that can repair the hymen. However, it can not restore virginity.
Also, the first time a virgin have sex may not cause any bleeding. So, bleeding cannot be used as a sign to judge whether a girl is a virgin or not.
The response during sex will tell. A virgin with not previous experience will respond differently.

yes there are opperations which can "restore" a womans virginity. the bleeding from a virgin is caused by the tearing of a thin membrane at the opening of a womans vagina called the hymen. the thing is not all women bleed during first intercourse, the hymen might have been broken via sport, accident or some are born without one. what the opperation does is the doctors would stretch a thin peice of flesh within the opening of the vigina and try to simulate the borken hymen so the woman would bleed upon first entry of the penis. however i do not recommend this procedure, it is the 21st centry and jesus this guy should get over it

Personnaly, I think it is better for your friend to tell the truth. believe me, I am asian and it is alot of trouble. They want a woman which is pure and clean...as they say it. If he finds out, he might divorce and all his family will be start throwing eggs at your friend...I hate that old fashioned concept..so sexist...
About the restauration of virginity, I do think it is possible. She must discuss with her doctor in order to get informations but i heard of it. Alternatively, it is normal that some hymen brakes up due to sports such as backhorse riding or lifting heavy things. If she did those activities, maybe she canuse this as an excuse... Or having her honeymoon before having her period. Blood can appear later on for some..if she has her period, she can say that it bleeded along her period....evil plans isn't it? :D
Good luck for your friend

Im sorry, even if it is in his culture, if he leaves her because she is not a virgin, is a really stupid excuse. No one expects to marry a virgin. I took my boyfriend's virginity, but I lost mine to my ex. There are no operations that can restore her virginity. Ever heard the saying "Once you lose it, it is gone forever"? If he wants a virgin, I suggest they break the engagement off, before it is too late.

I heard a long time ago that in Japan they have special operations to restore the hymen. Call the AMA and see if they can refer you to a Doctor who knows about this.

Yes, surgery can be done to build a hymen to make it look like she's still a virgin but that's it. It will be what it looks like but it won't actually bring back her virginity. The procedure is called a hymenoplasty (surgical repair of the hymen). You can check sites like WebMD and such like the ones that one of the other girls posted to help give you more info.

No operation can restore the virginity......better call off the marriage because this man will cause bigger problems in future.

No operation. Sounds like she needs to rethink this marriage. Starting with a lie is a bad thing. If you know and the other guy knows, whoelse might know?
