It was actually Thog, a Neanderthal boy who was abandoned by his tribe and raised by a kindly family of river otters. After being rescued from the wild, at the age of 16, by a roving band of Homo Habilis, Thog invented peer pressure and soon all the little proto-humans were "shell guzzling."
