It is 11pm here and if a stranger called to chat I would probably tell them they have the wrong number.

heck, I'd listen to what random person had to say, then decide what to do, but I'm not laura. Tell 'em to get lost, keep your phone right by you, load your pistol and have a good night's sleep. Seriously, do all of the above except talk to them. If they call back, call the police. This person is breaking the law. Police will take care of it. Good luck and I hope sweet dreams.

That's entirely up to you. If you don't trust, don't accept., but who knows maybe you'll make a new friend. Other people are out there looking for friends as well sometimes., and than from experience some are just spam, or a bunch of perverts wanting to see your skin. If they ask for your ASL as soon as u get on, I'd say get the hell off, there just looking for some action, most of the time....

Any other time I'd chat, as long as the person seemed cool. Right now, though, I would hang up. It's late, and I'm getting ready to go to bed.

I would chat. THat person could be at the end of their tether, totally stressed out and depressed about the world, feeling very lonely and vulnerable and that chat could make a big difference to them
I would chat to them until they got abusive or started trying to sell me a set of steak knives...

since I'm working at 911 I would get fired for telling someone to get lost although some people I wish I could.

I would be extremely pissed off is someone called me right now.It's 1:15 AM where I'm at. I would definitely tell them to get lost!
