I am a recovering anorexic/bulimic. Under ALOT of stress with work. These feelings I used to have seem to resurfacing. Could use some advice. It's like when everytime I close my eyes they are bringing themselves back. I find myself reverting to old habits, and there's not alot I can do with them. I feel like it is sneaking up on me and I don't know what to do.

I would like to offer this advice,

PLEASE
make an appointment with the doctor that counseled you through your earlyer problems and see what he says ...if you havent had a doctors help at all ..get one ...ASAP...this is not something to "wait" to see if it gets better. Or to be taking any non-professionals advice. I enjoy Questions and answers ....very much . But this bussiness of allowing you and the rest of the world to ask serious medical questions and expect askers to take this forum seriously is criminal. The medical section should not be allowed period.... yahoo has no idea who or what is giving you advice...PLEASE...CALL A DOCTOR FOR MEDICAL HELP...PHYSICAL OR MENTAL...and I appologize for even telling you anymore than simply call a doctor i should be calling and telling someone else what i just told you...and that is exactly what i will do. I am very surprised they have not yet had a major lawsuit as it is.
I hope you do get to your doctor ...get well and live a full happy healthy life!!!!.....all the BEST the world can offer to you ..

Peace

What did you do before? Can you do it again to bring you back from that bad place?

Can you re-think the stress at work -- temporarily get an easier assignment or find a new job? Jobs come and go, but you have to live with your body for a lifetime.

Get some professional help, too. Anorexia and bulemia are as life-threatening as cancer or heart disease, and it's easier to treat those diseases if you've got a professional giving you advice and monitoring your progress.

Good luck!

you need to find a "sponser" someone who when you get those feelings you can call anytime so they can help you through them. and i think if you havent already seek a councelor. you need people to be there for you because you will be more successful in getting better. i know you can get better many have good luck and god bless

feelings are feelings, let them wash over you and move on. it is by trying to control these feelings that you are becoming sick. Let go, they are only feelings. you can't trust them.
