A typical Arab conundrum. A peaceful protest against the people that enabled them to peacefully protest.

Well, the Shiites have never been exactly thrilled with us being there, have they? What difference does a protest make? See, all of you out there who think a protest actually does something to make a change, here's the thing: it doesn't. The people who make the really important decisions will do so based on fact, not based on what some group of people thinks they should do. Protests are born from the mentality that as long as a large enough number of people say it's right, then by definition it is right regardless of fact. We need to keep our military in Iraq until the country can defend itself from the terrorists; if Iraq decides they're ready before they really are, I would actually say let them think that, and get the military out of there before things reach their flashpoint. It's really rather disappointing, though, that the same people we just recently freed from a ruthless tyranny are, in essence, turning on us and saying we aren't wanted anymore. Based on what I've seen, Iraq isn't stable enough to hold itself up yet.

So let me get this straight. The Shiites march in the streets yelling for the Americans to go home and protesting the war. The law abiding Sunnis, who want to live in peace, and are glad we are in Iraq, trying to give them freedom, and bring peace to the middle east, are the ones getting blown up by suicide bombers [Shiites]. Oh now I get it. It's like the radical left wing liberals, marching in our streets yelling for the Americans to go home, and protesting the war. The law abiding right wing conservatives who want to live in peace and are glad we are in the Iraq making a difference......Hmm

One less arguing point for the war cheerleaders. Pack up quietly so Bush doesn't hear, and ship the folks home.
