If it is getting to the point to where you are distracted when they become sexual, then you need approach your roommate (preferrably not in the middle of sex) and tell him that he and his partner are a bit too loud when they have sex. If you don't mind them having sex, tell him that. But, remind him that you have trouble sleeping or can't concentrate on important tasks. Tell him in a respectful way and see if that helps. If he doesn't quiet down, then maybe you should play music while they are having sex, leave your apartment/house, or find another roommate.

If it bothers you put on headphones and listen to your favorite music until they are done. I used to live with a girlfriend and she would be loud when she had sex with her boyfriend. I would either tune it out or call another one of our friends and put the phone up to the bedroom door and we would laugh. You could tape record it and play it back to him later. Another thing I did was stand by the door and duplicate the sounds she made. When she went "oh, oh, oh, God" I would do the same thing really loud. When they were done she would come out laughing and call me a b*tch. That was funny.

Nothing that is the price you pay for having a roommate. Get an ipod and when they are having fun you can listen to music.

Walk in on them and say, "Just what I need. I am doing a film and this scene fits right in it." Alternative: record the sounds and play it when your roommate is on the phone to his mom.

Umm...I like getting all beasty noisy when makin whoopy, but no matter my vocal range during acts of pure lustful bed thumpin magic that my partner can perform on me; if someone should point out what a distraction that is to them and their trying not to become mentally stunned by my acts of wantonness I have been known to bite down on somethin to muffle my screams...*devilish grin*

Most girls don't make any noice during sex. Your girl may be making no ice for your sake. She can be quiet too. Anyway, avoid premarital sex.

Well...You could ask your roomie to keep it down next time. You could vacate the apartment while they're getting it on. Or you could ask them to go to the boyfriends place if they want to be loud. If you are paying rent, you have the right to address the situation.

Kick him out.

I completely understand.
I'm very loud if the sex is good.
I know that I have to live in a
free standing structure because
of it.

No roomies, no apartments,
and no duplexes for me.

Explain that he is too loud and
show him my reply.

If I'm quiet during sex, I'm not
having fun!

I have this same problem! It's no secret because I've already told them that I usually hit the "mute" button on my TV in my room so I can hear them better! You may think that's crazy, but now when I hit the "mute" button, they will instantly get quiet because they know I'm listening in. Darn! And I was gettin off from just listening in on them!

Ear plugs, white noise machine, radio, television, or stop putting the stethoscope to the wall.
