does it mean because they have high percentage of best answers or other reasons?but then some has higher rate in best answers but not given a name as top contributer?Why?

I think you have to have something like 12 percent best answers now. I used to have one of those little orange boxes and then they took it away even though I didn't do anything differently than always. They can never make up their minds. They should have never done it in the first place and the same goes for that bull with fans and stuff. What a total disaster. People only give their friends and fans best answer any more!

well top contributers are those that have like1,000 or more answers. I doesnt matter if any of them are best anwers. They are the people who are just at high levels in yahoo anwers because of the anwers they give.
the people who have the best anwer percent get posted on the yahoo question/anwer example thing on the main page of yahoo. People can see the best anwers of the day and all the best answers.
so basically top contributers are just those who got points from anwering a lot of questions while best anwerers get higher percents and main postage. They have to have like 10 percent or greater.

The world may never know. I have heard alot of ways to get the badge, but none have proven true to me. I had it for a day, then it disappeared. I just answer for fun, and don't worry about points, or getting best answers.

I'm not really sure why....I used to have a top contributer label and then I didn't have it anymore. I didn't know why I had gotten it in the first place and I'm not sure why I lost it.

i don't know what there for but yahoo needs to get there act together.giving out badges and deleting peoples accounts .i had my account deleted 2 times already for what reason.?when i contacted them they said they had 2 check why and get back to me and never did.
