Same I think about people who...
1. Read the paper while driving
2. Eat food while driving
3. Comb their hair while driving
4. Take off/put on jacket while driving
5. Yell at the people in the back seat of the car while driving
... "watch where you're going!"

I call it a necessary evil. I run a one man business that keeps me on the road a lot. My car is a part time office. Of course, driving should be the primary focus. That's why I use a bluetooth headset with voice commands. I will also sometimes tell my clients I'm driving and will have to call them back.

Even though I was rear-ended 2 times with in 6 months of each other, and yes these people were on the cell phone not paying attention, there is a time and place for it.

Dont ever really think about it... but now that i am I think its unsafe and people should use ear pieces if they want 2 talk instead of using one hand 2 drive and one hand 2 use the phone...

Well I was rear ended by a man who was talking on his cell phone that he didn't notice that the light had turned red.

they are safer than people who text and drive, eat and drive and if you think about it, people who talk and drive have their eyes on the road more than soccer moms and everyone else. what would be wrong with talking to someone on the phone while you are staring at the road. talking to your passenger would be many times more dangerous eye contact and all....
it is called multi-tasking. there should not be a law to prohibit something because a few people are irresponsible and not too mentally challenged to multi-task. dont be jealous because you cant do it too

I absolutely hate it I think there should be huge fines and maybe a few demerits of of your license for multiple offenses.
(Thumbs down me if you want my father was nearly killed and the guy beside him was killed by a dropped cigarette when the driver bent down to pick it up in a car. After watching my father relearn everything we take for granted and knowing he lost all his memories from before the accident I have the right to hate it when people don't pull over to deal with distractions while driving)

I'm very cautious around them. I have to laugh though when I see two people in the same car on their phones. Are they talking to each other??

i don't think it's terribly bad. i think texting while driving is dangerous. i think i get distracted more by convos in the car than i do on the phone. when i'm on the phone i have it on speaker phone or even with it up to my ear i'm looking straight ahead instead of making occasional eye contact with someone

not safe. hope they dont crash. and hope they're just telling the person on the other line they're driving and will call back later.driving and talking on your cell=bad. crashes. not concentrating on the road. its just as bad even when you have blue tooth; you're still concentrating on the phone convo. no the road. :)
