that's really not fair to your daughter at all. she's a child, and she is working. you should help her get a savings account where she can put her money away for safe keeping, and let her use some of it for things that she needs and wants. babysitting is not an easy job, and it's a lot of responsibility. she's earned that money, so don't take it away from her. that's just wrong.
instead of taking her money away from her, teach her how to be responsible with it. you'll both feel a lot better.

Are you just keeping an eye on her or are you babysitting? If you're babysitting then you need to pay attention to her, not study. Find something for her to do that's quieter. Don't just tell her to be quiet. For example, if she really looks up to you, let her into your closet to try on your clothes. She won't hurt them and she'll have fun dressing up and making different outfits. Have her do a fashion show for you while you study.

I don't think you should take any she is a child. Bills are your responsibility.....she will have her own to pay some day. If you want to teach her about money have her open a savings account and require her to deposit 30% of her earnings to save for a car or insurance.

Wow.
How are you supposed to teach her about money when you take more than half away.
You really shouldn't take any away. It's hers. She got it by working. How would you feel if she took 60% of your paycheck all for herself?
Wow.....Yeah, don't do that by the way. Uhh.None. Don't take it from her. It's her money because she earned it.
I thought that was the point.

How old is she? 60% seems bit high. I think she would be better off if you taught her to save money. Most banks have accounts for minors for this purpose.

If she is over 18 that is a bit high.
If she is under 18 why the heck are you taking her money?? You are her parent and are supposed to be taking care of her, not taking her money from her. You're not teaching her to be responsible, you're teaching her to be greedy!

60% is TOO high! unless you are putting it away for her or something.
If you need the money... how about you split it 50/50???
just keep in mind that she actually works for the money, you don't want her to resent you

None, she's a kid. She'll be paying enough money when she gets older, let her keep it all. There are other ways to teach her about money.
