If the the Cavs can be 2nd and Miami stay at 4th then they could avoid Detroit and Miami and you would think the Cavs could make it to the conference finals.
But it would still be tough, because the Nets is definitely the dark horse of the east with RJ back and 10 games behind him. And if they get past the Nets, then they will probably face the Raptors, which own the best record in the east since Jan. 1, who should have an easier time with the Wizards in the 1st round.
So, even if the seeding works out for the Cavs, they would still lose in the second round and can't make it to the 3rd round to face Miami or Detroit. And if they have to play Miami in 1st round, they should lose, if not, they will lose to Detroit in the 2nd round.

It depends on where the seeding shakes out. Right now, they start with Miami, and then go through Detroit. Given that they are a 3 to 1 dog against each (at least), it doesn't look good.
However, if they can grab the 2 seed, they could be looking at Jersey and Toronto, or Washington and Toronto. With that route, their odds look substantially better.

i dont even need to look at the seedings or their opponents and my answer is no. simply because they dont have a good PG. without a good playmaking PG, lebron has to do everything and when lebron is doing everything his teammates stand and watch. they need a andre miller type of PG to help LBJ and get the team flowing better and the cavs have horrible FT shooting, which is important in the playoffs.

I dont think so, not this year. I think that Lebron needs another strong player w/ him to make that team complete!
