Its going to take more than a day to adjust to them, Try leaving them on all day and then take them off the next, and alternate days until your eyes get used to the periodic change. Thats what I did and it worked :]

I got dizzy too. Here's a good tip. It worked for me. Dont wear your glasses too much only wear them when you REALLY need to. Trust me, this prevents you from being dependent on them. What ever you do dont get contacts, make it your last resort or else you will never be able to see clearly without any sort of help. My friends all wear contacts and now when they take them off they cant even see their own face in the mirror. We all started off on the same prescription -1.50. Now my friends have gotten worse they are like -2.75. I actually dont have to wear glasses much unless I'm driving at night.

I'm not sure what causes that dizzy feeling, but I had it too when I first got my glasses. It was worse in the first few seconds after I first took them off, and it went away after a couple days.
I also got mild headaches on and off for a week or so, but not that bad. Nothing compared to the typical migraine.

I started wearing them around three years ago back when I was in fifth grade. They made things a lot clearer, but I kept seeing all sorts of concave shapes on the floor when I wore them. I didn't like them very much at first, but now I'm dependant on them both visually and mentally. They are such a part of me now that I'd threaten to annihilate all illustrations of me glasses-free and refuse to even remove them to wipe in public.

I felt like I could see better .
The lenses getting dirty was a bother however ,
I switched to the contacts you leave in for 30 days and nites without taking them out until the end of the month.
Those work good !
