I investigated and found a clear and compelling inversely proportional link between the number of wagon wheels and the number of openly gay adults in our society. Strangely enough, as the number of wagon wheels diminished, the number of openly gay adults increased. Obviously, exposure to wagon wheels at the onset of puberty triggers psychological development in the pubescent that allows them to mature to the level of attraction to the opposite sex. Sadly, those who aren't sufficiently exposed to wagon wheels never develop this attraction to the opposite sex and end up gay.

I tested this by asking a few of my gay friends if they had spent any significant time around wagon wheels during their adolescence. It turns out that NONE of them have!

Well, now I have shared the discovery of the century with you. I have submitted the results and analysis of my highly scientific research and study to several scientific journals, and expect them to be published shortly. The National Enquirer has a

If you are born with homosexuality than explain why 1 twin can be gay and the other not. They have the same genetics? The two would have the same sexual preference 100% of the time?

Let me share this little bit with you.....
Identical Genetics, Identical Orientation?

The third major study trumpeted as "proof" of homosexuality's genetic link was also conducted in 1991 by psychologist Michael Bailey and psychiatrist Richard Pillard. Using pairs of brothers — identical twins, non-identical twins, biological brothers, and adopted brothers — Bailey and Pillard attempted to show that homosexuality occurs more frequently among identical twins than fraternal twins.

Again, what the majority of people do not know, and what the media did not accurately report, is that this study actually provides support for environmental factors versus genetics! If homosexuality were in the genetic code, then both of the twins would have been homosexual 100 percent of the time, yet this was not the case.12

Bailey and Pillard found that, among the identical twins, 52 percent were both homosexual, as opposed to the fraternal twins, among whom only 22 percent shared a homosexual orientation; 9.2 percent of the time, both non-twin brothers were homosexual; 10.5 percent of the time, both adoptive brothers were homosexual.13

Dr. Whitehead further explains, "Identical twins have identical genes. If homosexuality was a biological condition produced inescapably by the genes (e.g. eye color), then if one identical twin was homosexual in 100 percent of the cases his brother would be too. ... Genes are responsible for an indirect influence, but on average, they do not force people into homosexuality. This conclusion has been well known in the scientific community for a few decades but has not reached the general public. Indeed, the public increasingly believes the opposite."14 http://www.family.org/lifechallenges/A000000186.cfm

Sexual orientation is a sliding scale.

The number of openly gay people have increased as society became more liberal.

To answer the question, because as far as they can remember they have always been gay.

I'd like to point out that with a sliding scale, many are "in between". Further, the reason for homophobia is directly linked to societies concept of morality. It was once a popular to own slaves and many used the bible to justify it. As society became more liberal, that too has gone for the most part (I say most part, because even in the USA there is a huge child sex slavery ring).

I also have to say - 2 funny. Wagon wheels LOL

So, are you saying that there should be a "Wagon Wheel" camp that people can go to if they think they may be born gay but don't really "choose" to be gay? Do you think that one of the Dude Ranches that do a wagon train could cash in on this scientific study? LOL

The answer to the question is because they know they were born gay. You have no idea how it feels, you are not gay. You can make up b.s and giggle behind your hand all you please, but the fact is there was never a day when you made a choice between being straight or gay. If you're straight, it just happened. One day your hormones kicked in and the opposite sex looked great to you in a whole new way. It's not any different for them. You don't have to feel something to accept its existence, yet so many straight people I know think because they can't imagine it then it just can't be.

The twins? Who knows, science is still working on definitive gene identification, though they already have made strides that have cautiously convinced them they are on the right track. Identical twins can have different allergies, different general health problems, different tastes in which men or women they find attractive. Sorry, but the argument fails due to incomplete information and assumption that there are NO differences in twins, when clearly there are. I've got three sets of identical twins as cousins, trust me, they differ in many ways. My first cousin Marianne suffered uterine problems so bad she had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 27. Her identical twin has 4 kids and is working on a 5th.

It never fails to amaze me that people who have no clue what it feels like to be gay think they can make pronouncements about it not being innate, simply because their aversion or their religion tells them that can't be possible.

First your argument is the stupidest thing I have ever heard and I know many straight people that were never exposed to wagon wheels including myself.

As for the born that way thing they say it because either they have no belief in God or that they don't believe God is the only perfect being in existence and that he made a mistake when he created them. Since God is the only perfect being in existence and does not make mistakes and does not accept homosexuality then these people have made a choice and will get what they deserve for it.

Even if there could be truth in being born that way they are free to make decisions and choices for there own life just like the rest of us so they could always choose to not be homosexual or choose not to act on it at least, I know several people that claim to be gay, but only in their thoughts as they have chosen not to act on it so that they are not condemned by Jesus and can go on to live with God in the next life.

We all have the right to make choices in our own lives right or wrong and if someone is openly gay and acting on it that is only because they have made that "Choice" not because of how they were born.

Wagon Wheels are a popular British biscuit which have a mallow center and are covered in a chocolate flavored coating. You must be wrong--sorry.

Sexual orientation is not just the result of genetics. It is far too complex a thing to boil down to your ridiculously imbecilic post. When you become a real expert on the matter, then come back and repost. Otherwise, you are wasting your time and ours.

Well, since 99% of homosexuals have ingested bread in their lifetime, the same (stupid) arguement could be made for bread being the cause.

I dont really know, Im not a homosexual. Honestly, I dont see how you can be a heterosexual or a homosexual before you hit puberty and become interested in sex.

Homosexuals who say that they are born that way does NOT mean that they feel guilty about their lifestyle. If they were so guilty, they would probably try to hide it more.
