coloscopy question?

im not sure if thats how you spell it but it means to get a biopsy of your cervix when abnormal cells are shown.
My question is having a "coloscopy" does that bring on a period or has the bleeding from the procedure have nothing to do with a period?

the reason why i am asking is because i was due for my period the day before the procedure which i didnt get and my periods are very regular.and thats the only bleeding i have had hence the question

It is spelled Colposcopy. And sorry I know how much those suck. Anyways, It is normal to bleed or spot after having one done but, it will not cause you to have your period. If you shouldn't have started your period yet, I would go to the doctor to make sure everthing is o.k. in there.

I had one done over 7 years ago.. I only bled from the procedure. Not my period.
