I have racked my brain over this one as I have become more and more addicted....I even "know" some of the answerers.
What's so sick about this is I have friends whom I neglect on a daily and weekly basis, but I am sometimes more interested in what my Yahoo! "friends" are up to..
Also...welll....I'm going to make my last comment into a question and post it on Yahoo! and then go to bed.
OK...couldn't figure out how to make this into a question (too tired/no creativity left in me)
So here's what I really think: There is something so wonderful about the anonymity of the internet, and I find I am particularly drawn to questions of our shared human nature, especially those about relationships, sex, men v women, etc. Those type float my boat the most, though there are other categories I enjoy.
So my theory is: it is a way of connecting with people about intimate matters (I have told things on Y!A that I have not told close friends) and there is very little consequence or baggage. It must be the way Catholics feel about confession---getting it off your chest, so to speak.
Lastly I have learned SOOO much...the way people of other races and religions view things, LOTS about how men think, lots about motherhood from some really smart women, of course lots about peoples' sex lives (which I enjoy a little too much at times), sports I previously knew nothing about (cricket, wrestling), computer info, running advice, etc.
I love Y! Answers.

It's only midnight, I go to bed around 1 or 2 a.m. As far as Y!A being addictive, did you ever notice that we're called "users"?

spectacular poem, spectacular poem. oftentimes cases as quickly as we are in want of something, and we get the help we want from others, if we are selfless, it ameliorations our strategies on issues. Like many human beings do not want to be afflicted with late nighttime calls, yet how might we experience if we necessary to speak late at nighttime and no person had to make the attempt to speak? It is going to do unto others as we'd like completed to us!

Yes I should be in bed and I will regret this in the morning but I can't tear myself away from the computer. (My butt is already asleep.)
