Every time any kind of weather happens, the media talks about global warming.
If there is a Hurricane, it's global warming.
or a Snow storm, it's global warming.
or a Tornado, it's global warming.
or a Tsunami, it's global warming.
or a Drought, its global warming.
So what is considered normal weather?
There have been snow storms and droughts of great and minor intensity recorded back thousands of years.
Were these caused by global warming also?
Some years there would be large numbers of these, and some years there would be very few.
How do you decide what you think is normal?

That's exactly what I've always said. It fits the pattern of using data to back into the desired and predetermined conclusion. Propoganda at its finest.
Consider the source. I believe in less pollution, because it makes sense regardless of climate change. And I believe in alternative fuel sources, because it will seriously deplete the resources of countries that back and breed Islamic terrorism.
But any agenda sponsored by Algore, count me out.

it isn't the type of climate this is atributable to worldwide warming however the frequency. i've got only spent lots of the day analysing freak climate activities over the final century and in a nutshell there is been a 300% improve in important floods on account that 1970, an 80% improve in the variety of storms, a a hundred and fifty% improve in the variety of class 4 and 5 hurricanes / tornadoes, a a hundred% improve in the variety of properties broken via storms etc etc. from time to time there are different circumstances that would make a contribution as much as twenty% of the deviation. (PE's and SD's are the two small). 'commonly used' is often taken because of the fact the 1960 to 1990 mean. So working example, we check out commonly used temperatures in this 30 300 and sixty 5 days era and learn different temperatures to that discern. this is totally unrealistic of the media to illustrate to any specific climate journey and blame it on worldwide warming. GW will improve the threat and from time to time the severity notwithstanding this is to not blame for each thing.

To be honest, there really is no such thing as "normal" weather patterns. Our world is a dynamic and changing place. That being said, there is a wealth of scientific data which would suggest that we are in a period where the average global temperature is increasing. Data collected from ice core samples and weather records for the past 100-150 years show this trend. There is also a decent amount of scientific data to suggest that human activity is partially (not solely) to blame for this increase in temperature.
The trick is separating the fact from the fiction. The media and Al Gore Jr. like to portray what most would see as the absolute worst case scenario.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for people to understand. It's not that there is change happening, it's that the RATE of change has accelerated alarmingly. There have always been natural cycles in weather and in temperatures, but 21 of the hottest years on record have happened in the last 25 years. So it's the acceleration that people are concerned about.
Perhaps you should rent "An Inconvenient Truth," put aside any feelings you may have about Al Gore (who cares about him, right?) and actually study what the scientists have to say. Then make up your own mind.

Climate change affects weather, but the two are not the same. Climate change affects the entire glove, while weather is local. Observations of climate change have more to do with ocean temperature.
I'm not sure what you mean by "proponents of global warming". I don't think many people are agitating in support of it.

Global warming is measured by the average world temperature.
Weather paterns may be a result, but are not taken into consideration.

Read the science. Don't talk out of your a_s.
Do you think polar bears just evolved in two years ? Clearly the north pole was cold enough for long enough for an entirely new species of bear to evolve up their whose lives are based completely around the cyclic formation of ice.
