If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever. - George Orwell

In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act. - George Orwell

I would say consistently they are engaging in full doublespeak as George Orwell called it.

However, because it is known that people are"on" to Newspeak, once in awhile to throw everyone off, they do toss in a bit of reality. But usually that reality is closer to home where the facts can be checked out more easily. The further removed the matter being reported upon, the greater the amount of newspeak to be expected.

What bothers me is that by telling us all about what was to come through such dystopian novels as 1984, Brave New World, The Handmaids Tale, Us, a Clockwork Orange, etc and us letting them slide into "science fiction" status, people cannot even use the excuse "I was not warned, I did not know" when called to account for our apathy and the situations in which we will find ourselves. In this manner we are set up to accept the guilt for our own downfall.

This in itself is an Illuminati ploy to keep us in their thrall by burying within us a collective guilt that can be manipulated in the future if there should come the need. It is time we began to think as they think, to the best of our abilities. This is a war of the minds and souls as much as anything else.

Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.- George Orwell

During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.- George Orwell

Each generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it. - George Orwell

Enlightened people seldom or never possess a sense of responsibility. George Orwell

Every war when it comes, or before it comes, is represented not as a war but as an act of self-defense against a homicidal maniac.- George Orwell

For a creative writer possession of "truth" is less important than emotional sincerity.- George Orwell

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four. If that is granted, all else follows. - George Orwell

Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. -George Orwell

“I just want you to know that, when we talk about war, we're really talking about peace.” - George W. Bush

Darlin', consistently applied propaganda works. A nation of numbed slaves is the eventual result. We now see the fruits of their labour and we need to get to work deprogramming them one mind at a time.

It would seem so. Fact is that no government is ideal. They're not always going to tell us what really happened. In a worst-case scenario it might cause chaos, if some sensitive information fell into the hands of the public. Especially in a democracy, the current party in power needs the approval of the citizens to stay in power and if they admitted all their shortcomings or revealed all their mistakes, they would be removed. In this age, information is power.

My father, who worked for the Treasury Department and C.I.A. for many years used to discuss with us the nonsense people believe about government and to watch out very closely for anyone who thought it was "good to have a government that openly shared all its secrets with the public and never lied".

All of our enemies want that, too.

Short-sighted suicide is what it is. Give all our enemies everything they need to hurt us while they continue to keep their intelligence secrets.

Why would we do that? Why would a population expect to be given every detail of a war openly where the enemy could use it?

What kind of political ideology insists on it. Does yours?

Thank goodness you don't run the government!

@ one of the answerers: Aren't you happy that in the U.S.A. we don't have a democracy, but a republic? Democracies suck, they have enough problems without having anyone tell them the truth LOL.
