I have a guy friend who says he is Metrosexual. He said it means that he is a girly-guy cuz he dresses nice and grooms himself well. Does it mean that he is kinda gay? Or are metrosexuals straight? I dont get it...is he trying to be gay?

Metrosexuals are straight guys who act like our stereotypes of gay men -- they spend inordinate amounts of time on their appearance, absurd quantities of money on fashion, shave their bodies, etc. In other historical periods they were called "dandies." But they are not gay, and few gay men actually act this way anyway. It's all very high maintainance and silly, and I would avoid get involved with anyone so stuck on himself as the typical metrosexual is. I think it's more being obsessed with image than trying to be gay, but it's very boring to the rest of the world.
