Your body is designed to gain so much weight during the winter time. I usually do, except this winter for some reason I didn't. I just had to take my belt in another inch.If you have gained too much I'll be more than happy to chase it off of you.

Not really, I stay pretty much the same all year, if anything I lose a pound or 2 during the winter from trying to take care of all the holidays that are so close together.

yeah every year i think its because we got halloween and all the candy then the big thanksgiving dinner then christmas goodies and the big dinner, then all the drinking and snacking on new years eve, then we have valentines day still in a winter month and more candy then St Patricks day and more drinking in the spring followed by Easter and more chocolate and another big meal.. After all that we lose weight to make room for next winter.

Nope! I live in S. California, we don't really have Winter here, so to speak, but we have worse - JUNE GLOOM!, which we are havin' now as we speak.
But it's not uncommon for people in cold climates to gain weight in winter...hard to go outside, don't see many friends, seek comfort in food (and whiskey! LOL), and lay around alot, I guess.

I'm trying to break the cycle this year, but it is generally due to decreased activity because of the weather changes and all the holiday treats.
By they way, what's up with the moron who posted that long and irrelevant quote form Wikipedia?

yes you do, cause sometimes it is so cold outside that you rather stay inside your house and eat than freeze your butt outside or kill yourself because of the cold weather.
this is fo real cause i live in a city called winnipeg (in canada) where we can have about 4 to 6 months of winter months. so long you get so bored that all you can do is eat, watch, and sleep.
