I just know he tells Tipper :
Hand me down my walkin cane. . .. .hand me down my hat
Hurry now , and don't be late. . 'Cause we ain't got time to chat' .
You and me we're going out. . . . to catch the latest sounds
Guaranteed to blow your mind. . . So high you won't come down

Hey ya'll pre-pare yourself. . for the Rubberband . . . . Man
You never heard a sound. . like the Rubberband. . . Man
You're bound to lose control. . . When the Rubberband. . . Starts to Jam
Do do do do do do dododo dododo
Say Rubberband. . . . Rubberband Man

I'm sorry folks , I just don't buy his theory that 'man' is responsible for global warming AND that 'man' can reverse it's effects !

How bout you ?

Al-manbearpig-Gore is either a liar or a hypocrite. He either doesn't believe that human pollution is causing global warming there for he has no problem using more electricity to heat his POOL then I do to run my house. Or he does believe it and being an elitist snob does not think that HE should have to give up his luxuries.

Well after the Tsunami reshaped the geography of the Indian Ocean and Banda Ache and then the Marshall Islands just got heaved up a couple of feet taller, and a major environmentally protected reef just got bleached and killed because of he quake. Well, Im beginning to wonder if nature isn't doing the work on its own.

However, I would say mankind's use of fossil fuels and the creation of additional greenhouse gasses are certainly not helping anything.

And yes, I think when Al Gore cashes in his energy credits, his check bounces. Only because he owns a humongous mansion and uses enough energy to power up a small low-rent apartment project in the Bronx.

I think we certainly have contributed to it, when I travel into large cities from the mountains I call home, just breathing the air makes me ill.

As far as being able to do anything to stop it, I am still on the fence, but riding my bike on short trips to store, trying to lessen my own impact. I don't purchase new cars, will be another 15 years or so before I buy a used hybrid.

Trying to fight global warming is like trying to fight continental drift. The earth has been warming at a constant rate for the last 10,000 year as were are still coming out of the last ice age. The scientists you hear whining on TV are paid to do that. The information they are using is base on the fact that we have only recorded temperatures since the late 1800's. Scientists who have actually studied core samples from the polar ice caps tell a different story based on thousands of years of RELIABLE information.

I agree that we should take better care of our environment which is essentially only on lease to us, but don't fall victim to the hype. Politicians use vivid images and powerful words to convince you that YOU are to blame and guilt you into changing your lifestyle to suit THEIR purposes. It will pass as the facts come out.

Let the sun shine.....let the sun shine in... the sun shine in

High, Ernest T.! I think the earth goes through natural heating and cooling cycles. I also think people have and are contributing to it. I do not see anything wrong with not polluting, saving the rain forests and finding renewable energy sources. Great song you quoted.

I agree with you, and I suspect Al Gore knows he is lying. If Al Gore really believed CO2 caused global warming and global warming was going to kill us like he says, he wouldn't contribute to it by having such a huge carbon footprint, unless of course he wants to kill us all himself by stomping us with that big carbon shoe of his.

All those words to state your opinion about global warming. And what does this song have to do with it? I'm not sure yet how I feel about global warming, but at this juncture, I don't think it is very wise to completely rule it out.

LOL!

Ooh, ooh, ooh,
I feel my temperature rising
Help me, I'm flaming
I must be a hundred and nine
Burning, burning, burning
And nothing can cool me
I just might turn into smoke
But I feel fine

I'm just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
Just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
Just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
Just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
Just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
Just a hunk, a hunk of burning love

Would you care to tell us why you don't buy into global warming using facts instead of song lyrics?

I'm guessing you don't.
