The answer is simple. The monstrosity that is the United States political machine has grown out of the People's control and threatens to devour everything our forefathers fought and died for.
We the People are considered inconsequential. We as citizens are only looked upon as cannon fodder for the senseless wars the Machine wages, or as units to produce the capitol it needs to feed its burgeoning bureaucratic agencies. We are very much like the "copper-tops" of the Matrix that power and perpetuate its continued functioning.
We are as ants to this destructive, unfeeling, uncaring, and immoral god.

Obviously the people are more powerful, although King George seems to think that he is. But, eventually, he will be disabused of this delusional notion. When American citizens begin to realize they can make a real difference by coordinating their efforts, the politicos in Washington will be forced to their knees.

seems the misinformation family is more powerful then all the above. read today the Democrats clearly stated they will not give any legislation to the president to sign that will benefit the USA, now these were quotes from your democratic politicians. so in other word they hate bush so much the admit they would rather hurt America just to make Bush look bad. If this does not outrage you, your creditability to give a honest answer to any question is ZERO.

Bush Jr - 'We the People' want the war to come to a complete halt. He has rendered our vote in the last election effectively null and void.

obviously "we the people" are the more powerful of the two but in all honesty "we" can't quit arguing amongst ourselves long enough to use that power to do anything.

Apparently it is Bush Jr.....He does just as he pleases, does he not?

Neither.

Jr. is a jackass that is dictated what to do by his advisors. "We the people" never get what we want even when we have a Democratic congress.
