It's pretty, but, is 8th grade graduation like high school, where girls are usually in white robes over their clothing?
Because, it'll look really funny if yes.
However, if the dress is like the only thing you wear, it's pretty, and since most schools have rules against 'spaghetti straps' the straps look pretty thick, so you'll probably be okay in that respect.
However, just in case it's cold, you might want a sweater...?

Its nice, but I think its a little too underdressed for a prom, and the fabric looks a little cheep. You might want to try something else that is a lighter color (like creamy white, soft green, blues, yellows, pinks, and even chocolates!). Just don't pick a bright pink, fire engine red, bright orange, or all black cause it will look to...tacky. But I like the dress shape and for 15 bucks, you should buy it and wear it somewhere else like church or a party! Try to find something just a little more formal!~Good luck and congads

Its pretty. But, I would have someone close to you, who can see you in it, to give you an honest opinion. I agree with CHicken about the cut of the dress....the next thing would be the material that its made out of. Its $15...but does it look like a $15 dollar dress when you get it? I have purchased things on line and unless you trust these people...I wouldn't buy from them. I would stick with places that you can try on the dress and not have to worry about finding out that it looks like crap on you, when you finally get it.

I don't really care for it...and I'm not trying to be mean, but you asked :)...I don't like the material or the cut of the dress. I think you could find something better. You should look at a dress and be like "that's the one!!!" not have to think about it...Good luck finding the dress of your dreams :D!!!

If lots of girls at your school wear things like this, then, okay. But just looking at it, it seems too old for you. I see an older woman in it -rather working woman casual. Ask some of the other girls in your class what they think. It sure is a good price!

Girl its cute I can say that, but you are a little girl like me and I know my momma won't let me wear anything as low and revealing as that dress. I am in the 8th grade too. You should present yourself in a nice way, maybe wear a lacy shirt underneath

Cute! Now make sure you practice wearing your high heels before that day. Too many girls have a hard time walking in them on the stage and it looks awkward.
Teacher-been to many 8th grade graduations.

I think it's a pretty good dress. I'm not sure how your bone structure is but it has a good design with a young-ish feel that doesn't look kiddie.
Buy it!

I love it...you can accessorize lots with that...or just wear some simple earrings and a bracelet...and your smile, of course!
Congrats grad! Have a great time and behave yourself (oops, do I sound like a Mom???)

I think you should go with something more colorful, the dress is pretty, but black is for winter. Do they have it in pink or orange?
