It looks a bit too nightclub-ish to be semi-formal.

The first one is my favorite. It's classic, very red carpet, very elegant, and you'll never look overdressed.

it is a bit revealing to me. way too short. semi-formal to me is a dress that is to the knee or just above. And not so bare on top.

maybe high school?
it seems to be more of a nightclub dress....
semi formal would be a little more classic elegant looking...
think red carpet.....
