Nash maybe?

Eric Snow would be GREAT.

Maybe Payton?

I also think Bruce Bowen has the right temperament and knowledge of the game.

Darrell Armstrong. When he was with the Mavs he was another coach on the floor basically. He was always talking during the games to the other Mav's young PGs (Harris, Terry, Daniels). He was a strong locker room precense and everyone there said he'd be a natural coach, just like Avery Johnson. He has already said he will go into coaching and I have no doubt the Mavs would show interest in him in this capacity when he hangs it up.

Typically the players who make the best coaches are role players because they understand and willing to do what it takes to win.

Take for example current coaches like Pat Riley, Scott Skiles, Phil Jackson, Nate McMillian, Avery Johnson & Don Nelson just to name a few...all of these guys were role players who learned & played the game from a different perspective.

Superstar players have been able to do it, but due to their distaste for losing & competitive spirit...players like Bird, Magic, & Russell (player / coach) only have done it for short periods. Actually Riley before taking the Knicks job in the early 90's...predicted that Bird would be a great coach in the NBA.

I think that in the long run guys like Cliff Robinson, Eric Piatkowski, Bob Sura & Kevin Willis would make great coaches.

And Willis would definitely be best dressed, he owns his own clothing company out of Atlanta...Willis & Walker. Has a great NBA clientele, so it wouldn't be hard to attract players to his team...if he were a coach.

I think there are a lot of players that can be good head coaches. One of them might be Bruce Bowen but the best one that i can think of is C Billups because he is a phenomenal leader and he knows the games better than anyone else. If not name someone better suited.

Armstrong Is understood to be actively pursuing the coaching route, and I agree that he would be good. Cassell wants it too, but he has carried his immaturity into his 30s, which doesn't bode well.

Chauncey Billups would be a good coach. He has a good understanding of the game, and is hard-headed enough to get through to players.

In general, I think floor-leader guards tend to make the most sense. They can see the whole game, unlike big men who act as finishers. I could see Shaquille O'Neal trying to coach and being just awful.

That would be sweet to see Steve Nash as a coach. He would definitely be a great coach. They say that he is a great observer and student of the game and would be perfect. Maybe someday. After all he is the best player in the league.

ideally, you want a coach to have the innate ability to lead a set of adult males. In different words, he must be a 'organic born chief.' From the guy's you stated, i will see D-Fisher starting to be a destiny headcoach yet not the different 2. Ron Artest is a whackjob, who no person respects; Glen Davis, to a lesser quantity, is resembling Artest. aside from Fisher, i'd desire to Kevin Love and Nick Collison, whom the two personify the straightforward factor of the game, starting to be head coaches. BQ: The Mark Jackson hiring is slightly suspect, yet i've got heard reliable issues approximately Mike Malone. i think of Mike Brown might've been the very maximum suitable extra healthful for the infantrymen, because of the fact the Warrior's greatest weak spot is protection and Mike Brown is a protecting-minded coach. @person- Being an imprecise bench participant does not disqualify you from starting to be a head coach, as you alluded to with Glen Davis. If that replaced into the case, Phil Jackson, Vinny Del N*gro, Monty Williams, etc. might have in no way been presented head preparation positions, as none of them have been reliable NBA gamers. particularly, that's usually the mediocre/crappy NBA gamers who become the main suitable head-coaches.
