Stuffed cabbage should be firm, able to cut through the skin easily with a fork, not just a knife. I had it last week!, good eating.

One thing I hate about getting a salad from most any restaurant is the heated and wilted lettuce and cabbage... I want it cold, crunchy.. and 'firm' lol.

Haloopka in Polish
Pigs in the Blanket
You would like the ones in the middle then, not around the edges.
You like em mixed beef with rice or pork with potatoes?

From a tradional point of view, mushy is how we ate it. Yum! Yum! and we still do, with mashed potatoes and tomato sauce gravy.

Much better when a little firm. It also retains more nutritional value if it's not cooked to death.
