like i said above i'm not being nasty. could someone please tell me how to get rid of my embarrassing asshair? i've tried clippers and razors and i always end up hurting myself. isn't there a safer and less painful way of dealing with this problem? please somebody let me know.

well all the above ideas are good.. but waxing is pretty embarrassing and i'm sure most guys (or girls) don't enjoy other people looking down there.
here's the solution: use Nair or something like that. it'll come right off in about 20 minutes. you'll just have to sit in your bedroom in weird positions so that you don't get the lotion all over your furniture, but hey, it'll get rid of the hair.

I too concur that shaving or worse, clipping it creates breaks in the skin which open up entry of bacteria which abound in the faeces. Having hair round the anus is alright, providing you wash after defaecating. I suppose as a westerner you use toilet tissue, which is not completely hygienic. In Eastern countries washing is the norm and it makes you completely clean, especially showering after a crap and washing well there (as well as your genitals). Shaving or using hair removing cream will only increase the hair shaft thickness and increase the growth as well. So best leave it alone, but wash regularly (i.e. everyday). Psst...... shaving will only increase the sound of passing gas, whilst having hair dampens it, have you experienced it?!

I shaved around my anus once and only once. it was dreadfully painful as the whiskers popped up, and itchy. No amount of lotion helped. With time i have learned to live with hair in that crevice. Try waxing, but who will do it is the better question.

You could try waxing or use Immac that should give you a few weeks free of it. You can get Immac for men so you don't need to worry about getting the female version.

I think all men have it, it's nothing to be embarassed about. Im sure if i was to hook up with a man and he had a smooth *** i'd kind of wonder if he wasnt a little feminine.

wax it! Be cautious if your are going to get crack and sack done. i heard this story about how after got his crack done, he went for a crap. his pores were open and he was really sore, and so his crap gave him an infection, every time he crapped it would get wores, vicious cycle (this is something i read on another site, not sure if it is true).

Yup. Some places exist where you can get them clipped off. Not just hair behind there but also everywhere else. They usually just trim it. But you can get it all off if you want.
Although its completely normal I think, to have hair there.

Trimming is best.There is hair trimmer available.Insert blade init and trim.It is safe.You can trim up to the desired level .Perhaps trim up to 2 mm.

Plenty guys have overly-hairy areas waxed - lasts for ages.
It'll hurt but it will be worth it if it bothers you so much.
