you tell people the truth when they ask. If you want people to know then tell them. It doesnt have to be complicated. Just relax and be comfortable. :)

The only way I show that I am gay is by not hiding it, from anyone, ever.
I dress how I want to dress, and although it could be considered as straight prep it is what I like and I don't change anything about me to conform to an expectation of another person, whether that person be another gay person or a straight person. I also like some sports, but that also doesn't have anything to do with who I am attracted to.
If you try to change yourself or portray yourself in a way that isn't natural to you, anyone who is attracted to you will soon realize that it is not the true you.
If you go to a gay bar or gay event, most will assume you are gay.
Just be yourself.

Why do you have to show that you are gay? Surely knowing and accepting that you are is all that matters? Most gay men dress as other men and like sports of one form or another. Gay men and women play all types of sport including professional sports such as all the codes of football. There is no difference between a gay person and anyone else, we are all ordinary human beings with similar likes and dislikes.
If you want to act like a stereotypical queen then that is your choice. If you don't, it isn't compulsory.
If you really want to tell others that you are gay while looking like anyone else, wear a pink triangle badge.

Most men don't fit the stereotype either and you don't need to. Gay men are by definition attracted to male oriented things. I like men and 'manly' things...lol. I think the best advice is to be yourself. As for me, I've always been drawn to masculine athletic types (not necessarily a gym queens either) and of course I like my bear men too. And there is always the leather men.

do you need to "show" you are gay? I know lots of masculine gay men who love sports and "sound" masculine. If you are comfortable with yourself, you can simply come out to people. most of us know that the majority of us don't fit the typical stereotypes.

I don't lie when asked if I'm gay.
When a woman hits on me, I
tell her "Thanks, but I am gay".
Unless I'm attracted to someone,
I don't give a rat's @ss who they
screw, and unless they are attracted
to me, it's none of their business who
I screw.
The only thing that some people might
notice is that I have a HRC sticker on
my truck. Which, still doesn't mean I'm
gay since lots of heteros support the
LGBT community.

Well, you could try going to gay clubs, or I don't know, if you're really comfortable with your sexuality then you could try you know using the rainbow as an accessory, as someone else stated.

You could use rainbow stickers or pins on your different things, that signals you're gay without shouting it. Then if someone closed minded bitches you can just say you like rainbows heh.

I might be wrong, but I think my sequined blouse could be what tips people off to my orientation. This may not be right for you.
A rainbow bumper sticker could do the job.

That's going to be hard because you might automatically be assumed to be straight. It's all going to come around to verbal wording in your case. Best policy is to be honest and say it!
