pokemon diamond and pearl transfer help?

for example if you transfer a kadabra or a scyther holding a metal coat from firered to pokemon diamond via DS's dual slots will it evolve to alakazam or a scizor?

No, they won't evolve. Although they do evolve when trading and the Pal Park transfer acts like a trade because they'll get boosted experience, Pokemon who evolve from being traded won't evolve when transferring them into Pal Park.

you dont need a metal coat to evolve a kadabra.

yea, the scyther would evolve.
