They do not. There is no such thing as too much taxation to liberals. They want government control over all of our lives and money is the way to do it.

Well the tax rate is based on how much you want to spend...its real apparent that according the budget numbers where the GOP controlled Congress and White House spending was out of bounds too just like a liberal controlled one. (GOP did squander an opportunity to do some good for this country, so be mad at yourself on that)
Once you install spending controls on the fiscal management of the tax payers money than you don't have to run up deficits to be paid by foreign creditors or the tax payers. Fix spending and taxes will take care of itself in the political process.

taxes is not the way to even the gap between rich and poor. we should not allow more people into the united states, especially illegal immigrants, because they end up making the rich richer, and the poor poorer. the middle class poorer also. We should put a maximum wage on salaries, and increase the minimum wage, and make more requirement for those that hire low wge earners. it is a MORAL issue, and these corporations cannot be trusted to make the right choice as to how much they can be paid. and if you think that will increase the unemployment rate, think about all the jobs that will pop up once all of the illegals stop coming here.

Taxation Without Representation Is Unfair. It was that sentiment by our founding forefathers that catapulted this nation to independence.
The middle class carries an unfair share of taxes, paying the largest percentage of its income in taxes unlike the upper class. A Flat Tax for all USA citizens would eliminate unfair taxation.
Money alone does not win an election. Politicians need the middle class vote. When will the middle class unite in its power, voting and requiring legislation for a Flat Tax and fair tax for all?

what flippin planet are you on wiz kid. Who have you ever heard advocate such lunacy? I am a LIBERAL in every sense of the word. I am completely against income taxes(They are unconstitutional, and repressive.) I am an advocate of the Fair Tax which is a Federal Tax on goods and services. The more money you spend the more tax you pay. Rich people would pay more than poor. I am for such revenues being spent to help even the playing field for those born into less fortunate circumstances so they have many of the same opportunities to better themselves as more affluent Americans. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Stop what ever it is you are smoking now, it will obviously turn your brain to mush.

Do conservatives understand that there is no difference between taxing the population, and borrowing and creating debt for that same population. They are both taxes. The borrowing route just pushes the responsibility for payment to the younger generations. Sort of a sneaky underhanded tax.
The reality of the situation is that Bush has actually raised taxes to the sum of the national debt each of the years he has been office.

I agree that taxing 100 percent is outragous. I would rather taxes stayed the same. So how does the questioner suggest we pay for the war??!! Even the president with his budget that should be balance in 5 years time didn't include the cost of the war into the budget??
Part of fiscal reponsibility is paying debts.

So Republicans have never raised taxes???
Umm!......I remember GHW saying that his "No new taxes" campaign was the dumbest thing he ever said!
Then he raised taxes!
Go figure!
Article 1 Section 9 makes the 16th amendment unconstitutional!!!
I have told you this before!!!
Even I.R.S.agents have quit from their jobs because they knew that working for that system is unethical!
If we are going to stay with an income tax it should at least be fair!
Close all of the loopholes for the wealthy!!

We might consider raising taxes some on the wealthy.
I agree with a previous answer that the military budget needs cutting. I would cut it 75% to begin with. That would just be a start.

Yes, We do understand that. Wholeheartedly. What needs to change is not the percentage of income taxed, but rather the distribution of the funds that are collected.
100% taxation would never be feasible, would accomplish no positive goals, and would benefit no one.
