I accidentally bought the purifier/de-chlorine/whatever and I found it was made for lakes. Is a very miniscule amount (about 1.5cc)of water enough for a 10 gallon tank?

I'm really worried.

It will work fine and it would take a major over dose to harm the fish in your tank. Read how much is needed per so many gallons and divide it down as best you can and measure as closely as you can and all will be ok.

Yes, this will be alright to use in your tank. The only thing I can add would be to use your water conditioner before putting into the tank.

For the future, tap water is fine. But make sure you're using a water conditioner. I use Stress Coat by API (Aquarium Pharmaceuticals). This stuff will remove all the chlorine and contaminates to make the water safe for your fish.
