That is like saying "What does America have to be proud of? Enslaving the ***** for years and years and treating them as second class citizens." Every country in the world is guilty of something and in some way contributed to the darker side of humanity. And I am not saying that to excuse it. And if you study German history, you will find that they many positive contributions to the sciences, mathematics, literature, philosophy, psychology, and many other disciplines.

I'm not German, obviously, but I know a thng or two about history.
Hitler wasonly a smudge on German history. Many Germans have contributed to fields such as science, mathematics, psychology (MOSTLY German. Years ago it was a requirement to study German if you were a psych major), music (Bach, an Austrain, Mozart, and others German speakers)and literature.
Hitler was only in power for 10 years. German history has lasted much longer than that.
