Actually, neither word bothers me. I call myself both. In fact, I can be a real *****. And I am a witch. So why should those words bother me?

I completely agree.
Those kinds of words should really be used sparingly so they actually mean something when you need to use them. They're thrown around like confetti, even adoringly now!
I think saying nasty things is acidic to everyone, including the person saying it.

We do take it to extremes, and sometimes there isn't a better way to express the situation than to use those words.
