Did you send them your W2 forms in the first place?

W2 forms, if this is your question, are statements from your employer(s) telling you how much you made last year as well as how much money you paid in federal taxes, state taxes, social security, and so on. There are four identical pieces of paper: one for the IRS, one for the state government, and two for your records.

I've never had to ask for more, but your employer could probably send you more copies (if you ask nicely).

Call the phone number they provided in the letter and request and explanation.
Or call 1-800-829-1040.

so?? resend your W-2 forms as requested. Keep copies of the letter you received from IRS and keep copies of what you send to IRS and write down when you sent it and where you sent it.
