Is there such a coin that is gold with john adams on it NOT the newer one but one printed in 1887 with john adams on it and no figure on the back but printed works instead if so please let me know where i can find out about it. please ASAP

It is a medal not a coin and is gold colored not gold. They have been put out by a lot of private mints as well as the oil companies. The back (reverse) probably has info on John Adams. They are worth from a $1 up, the larger silver dollar size sometimes sell for more. Sorry it is not a rare item.

You can try and search for it online, but there is no John Adams coin that I know of from 1887.

No coin like this was made by the US mint but that doesn't mean there isn't a commemorative out there made by some other mint. I personally know of NONE but sometimes people make their own and/or alter existing coins.
