Do you think it's possible that you've been oblivious to people who've had to slam on brakes or snatch their kids back (in a parking lot crosswalk, say) because you were on the phone?

No, it drives me crazy to see people yapping on their phones and not paying attention to their driving. It really scares me when I have my daughter in the car. Twice last week I almost got hit, and both times they were young girls just yapping away and not paying attention. The one girl had the nerve to give me the finger, and it was so her fault. I think they should ban them here in Texas. No offense, but I kind of like living.

I myself do NOT talk on my cell while driving my truck. And YES I do believe that it does interfere with your driving abilities. I have seen too many near misses (accidents) and yes the person doing or almost doing the hitting was on a phone.

I do not own a cell phone, nor do i drive. However, I walk and listen to my iPod too loud. It interrupts my hearing and I sometimes walk into people, and poles. I have not heard cars and buses and nearly walked onto the street. Basically, I am a risk when I walk.

no no no!!!!! That is my pet peeve. I went by a guy last night who looked like he was texting while he was driving. He sure wasnt looking at the road. It only takes a split second for a animal to run in front of you or a car to pull out ahead of you. pay attention when driving!!!!

No, I don't have a phone, there is enough people out there that does, they don't need me adding to it. I think if you are going to be on the phone while driving you should have an ear peace on so that your hands are free.

well...usually not, since i am a cautious driver (now slow & cautious, but ..) either way, so since the way I drive means i need to keep my attention on those who can't (no racial slurs entered here), if i must i keep it short, I prefer the headset.
Driving record: near perfect (problem: a stop sign and some speeding).

Hope this helps!
