Because thats how we raise them. As females we have put up with a lot out of men. We are terrified that our sons will turn out to be the type of man that we were hurt by. So we have a tendency to teach them the way they should treat a woman and sometimes we may go overboard. But we have fears that our children will turn out to be the type of people we despise and that it would be our fault. We want them to be real men. Not some little twirp who thinks he's a man, but an actual man.
Then you take into acct. the whole, "daddy's girl, momma's boy" scenario. We are very close to our sons. We also know what women can be like so we get a little territorial when it comes to the women in their lives, lol. We start to feel like we are being replaced and we get vicious. Mother in laws have run off lots of women because of this.
But if you think we are hard on our sons, imagine how we can be on our daughters!! lol

I don't believe it is so much fear as respect for their mothers. There are some who fear their moms because of the severity of how they were raised and they just plain do not like to be hollered at. It's annoying, degrading, and very unpleasant for an adult male.

They are so closely attached to them...used to their mothers telling them off..and according to a recent study, men are jealous of their fathers when young, and kind of fancy their mothers. Weird, isn't it?

anyone who has baby pictures of you is defiantly someone to be scared of. Also most moms are the boss in the relationship so its natural for them to be feared,.

i used to, as she tried strangling me when i was nine. bit of a nut job, if you know what i mean. but now i don't fear anybody. if you've been near death once, you kind of lose the scariness of it. well, that's what it's like for me anyway

Could you really define such creatures as "men"? I've never been afraid of my mom or dad....and I got beat often for it.
