I never answer sales calls, thanks to caller ID. How do they stay in business? Even the people I know who do not have caller ID do not buy anything from telemarketers. Why are they still around? I've had 5 marketing calls in the last 2 hours. Can you tell I'm annoyed?

There is a no call list. I don't have the number, your phone provider should be able to give it to you. There is a specific number for cell phones as well.

you just have to read the fine print any time you provide your personal information such as address and phone number to credit card or utility companies or just any place that takes your information. when they collect your info, they usually state in their disclaimer how they are going to use it and who they can give the information to. just make sure that you are telling all of these companies to not rent your information out to other companies and anytime you are getting collect calls, ask to be removed from the list and keep track of each person and company that you talk to. it may be a pain at first, but it will help.

I never answer calls from unknown callers or 800 numbers. Therefore, I don't get sales calls.
