I'm sure that with the way I cook, I do have something radioactive in there too...

Vanessa, I've commented even more on it now...

Schrödinger's cat is a quantum mechanics (physics) example, I suppose. You could see it on Wikipedia if you like, but I understand if you don't like either since so many people don't like physics let alone modern physics theories...ha ha.

First I don't think Schrödinger would give you his cat.
Second the Schrödinger's cat is a hypothetical cat.
Third how can you put a hypothetical cat into a real oven and expect to change.
And finally by having a Schrödinger's cat how do you know if it is alive or dead in the first place.

If you put a live cat in the oven (hypothetical or not - we'll go with it being tangible enough to get hold of and put in an oven, though that'd be one hell of a chore in and of itself - do you have any experience with cats? I'm not sure Schrödinger did...because it is damn hard to get them in a box of any sort), and then took it out, I expect it would still be alive, unless you left it in an unreasonably long time and ignored the pained mewling and howling that would shortly ensue. You see, you forgot to mention whether or not you ever turn the oven on...And then, lest I be guilty of it myself yet again, there's one of the main problems - the assumption that the cat is alive when you put it in the first place...nobody hardly ever bothers mentioning that factor either...
(But if you did turn it on, I have to say that it'd make one hell of a mess - I'm not sure you'd be able to get it out.)
(And I'm taking the opportunity to recommend the online comic Dreden Codak - it's hilarious. There's one strip where Sokar is complaining about Schrödinger's cat...good times.)

ha ha! OK so I actually have no idea what you're talking about. I read the other peoples answers and well i still don't get it, lol
But i recommend not putting a real or fake cat in the oven. ; )

Oh and i commented on that one question that has a RIDICULOUS amount of comments! lol

Wow that's interesting! Maybe I'll take a look at the wikepidea.

And i commented again as well! lol :)

It'll be dead. It only becomes undead after you close the oven door again.

I'd say you'd have to wait until you open the door to find out, but if it stops screaming, it probably died...

You'll never know until you look (or smell--that counts as taking a measurement) Your fire alarm going off counts, too.
