You need to use the numbers on the NumLock pad to your right on your keyboard + alt.....but it won't work if you are logged on to yahoo dsl.....you have to be logged on to Internet Explorer or something else. Alt + any number on the num-lock pad will get you all kinds of cool symbols!

you go into word and use the symbol fonts a like webdings ans wingdings and everything
then you highlight one and press Ctrl+C
then go somewhere and type someting and then press Ctrl+V every time w you want that certain symbol
or try google

ok go to start,all programs,acceseries,system tools,character map,then u find the notes the at bottom click on them hit select and then hit copy then go to were u want them n right click n paste

start, go to system tools, then your character map,
choose something, copy, minimize window,
next time you want to use what you chose, hit ctrl v &
whala "your note"
