The ACLU came to his defense - but I'm looking for the WHY they did it.

Can a conservative tell me why they said they did it?

** Bonus question - how did Rush explain it?

Because the ACLU has principles unlike many neocons who change their values daily. I can't say I always agree with the ACLU but they do stick by what they say.

The aclu has defended many cases involving medical records and the right to privacy. It wasn't specifically for Rush. The same principle was involved regarding the government trying to obtain medical records without a valid reason. In other words fishing for proof. Are you upset that he got away with it and you didn't?
