Subtract 12 from the time if it is after 12 noon. For example 15:00 = 15 - 12 = 3:00 p.m.
For times before 12 noon, that would be the time a.m.

For the am time there is nothing to do.
For the pm times (when the 24 hr time is greater than 12)
just subtract 12 when the 24 hr time is greater than 12.
for example
13:15 is 1:15pm
23:00 is 11:00 pm
