Ok, first I would say that would be a band, that intentionally gave up there original style to sell more records. So I would say the Rolling Stone, with the Album, "Some Girls" which was much more a disco record and which sold extremely well, which makes it a big sell-out

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with selling out, as long as the music is still good.

Kiss, they tried to turn themselves into a product to be sold they never really had all that much talent anyway and the whole disco thing was total selling out at least the Rolling Stones kept some Rock in their disco expeiremnet. However what makes me really mad is when someone says that a band is sell out just for being popular are stupid a band doesn't have to be a weird no name freak show to be true rockers.
