I tried it but found myself sitting in it rather than on it.

I highly doubt it. If you have any males in the household, remember, they always lift the seat. That leaves "dribble" all around the toilet "bowl" Stick with the seat

Hi Kelley, No the bowl is not the better of the two, it has most of the bacterial germs on it than the toilet seat.

Well people prob tell u that, cuz butts dont touch the toliet bowl.
However, be warned, that when people use the washroom, and its a big one, sometimes dirty water splashed around da rim, which can cause bacteria to get on your butt, if u sit on it.

So, when using a public bathroom, put double toliet paper around da seats, or da plastic, or if u have to, squat dont sit.

Or, carry some antibacterial wipes in ur purse, so u can wipe da seat before u sit.

Im a dude, so I dont carry purses, however, I would put them in my backpack.

I doubt it since when I clean the toilet, the bowl is where all the nasty hairs, spots, splatters are, not on the seat.

As one of those "men" ya'll keep referring to, I have to say this is the funniest question and answers I have read in at least a month. I don't undertsand the preoccupation with that thing in the bathroom. I have sit on those appliances all my life all over the world and have never caught a single rash from any of them. Why does it bother ya"ll so much?

No - The bowl rim gets the splash. You are supposed to squat above the bowl - not sit on it if you want to avoid contact with yuck.

Would possibly be as it is easier to clean the rim, than the seat before use.Bit less comfortable though
