What most Americans do not realize is that there is a great and terrible secret about our government that they would rather you did not ever know.
The secret is this: In 1913, our government allowed the installation of the Federal Reserve system, giving it the sole authority to print money and loan it to our government at interest when our constitution specifically does not allow any entity other than congress to create money legally. The Federal Reserve system is not truly “federal”, but rather a system of privately owned banks instituted by superwealthy bankers such as Morgan, Rockefeller, and the Rothschilds.
Their goal was to create a system where our government would have to ask them for money loans, which they print on paper, that they could then charge interest on. This money is not backed by gold, or silver, or anything material. It is created out of nothing by a private bank; essentially these people have made it legal for them to counterfeit money. The amount of interest our government owes these banks for this monopoly money is paid using our income tax, which is also unconstitutional. This is all our income tax pays for! Not government, not the military, not the schools or roads. Other legal taxes pay for these services.
The amount of money these bankers have stolen from our country since 1913 is astronomical. They have since 1913 provoked two world wars, and dozens of other small conflicts so that governments would need to take out ever increasing loans to pay for their military expenditures. These loans must be paid back to the banks with interest, and today the United States debt has reached nearly 9 trillion dollars.
This enormous fact about our government and banking system is so big, that most people don't even notice it's there. People looking for solutions to our social problems are searching for pebbles when there is a mountain right in front of us all. Almost all of our high ranking elected officials know about this system, and are playing a game that they win because of our ignorance.
If we change this system so that congress regains the right to coin money, then these private bankers will cease being financed, and lose their parasitic control on our society, economy, history, and lives.
Please do the research yourself. If you find that everything said here is true, do your part to win back the money you make but are now relinquishing to the government: spread the word of this secret of the Federal Reserve.

"We have in this country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks...They are, not government institutions. They are private monopolies which prey upon the people of these United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers... " - Senator Louis T. McFadden, Chairman US Banking & Currency Commission
"The high office of President has been used to foment a plot to destroy the American's freedom, and before I leave office I must inform the citizen of his plight. We are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence: on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed." - John F. Kennedy at Columbia University
“The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.” - Benjamin Disraeli, First Prime Minister of Britain
"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." - Henry Ford
"I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by it's system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the world... no longer a government of free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." - Woodrow Wilson
"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning. The one aim of these financiers is world control by the creation of inextinguishable debts." - John F Hylan, Mayor of New York 1918-1925
"The real menace of our republic is this invisible government, which, like a giant octopus, sprawls its slimy length over city, state, and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self created screen. At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties." - Joseph Kennedy, Father of J.F.K.
"Fifty men have run America, and that's a high figure." - Curtis Dall, Son-in-Law of F.D.R., 1936
"For a long time I felt that FDR had developed many thoughts and ideas that were his own to benefit this country, the United States. But he didn't. Most of his thoughts were carefully manufactured for him in advance by the Council on Foreign Relations-One World Money Group. The United Nations is but a long range, international banking apparatus clearly set up for financial and economic profit by a small group of powerful One-World revolutionaries, hungry for profit and power. The One-World government leaders and their ever close bankers have now acquired full control of the money and credit machinery of the U.S. via the creation of the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank." - Curtis Dall, Son-in-Law of F.D.R., 1936
"The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson." - F.D.R., 1936
"We shall have world government whether or not you like it... by conquest or consent." - James Warburg, Rothschild Banking Agent, 1950
"The real rulers in Washington are invisible, and exercise power from behind the scenes." - Felix Frankfurter, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, 1952
"The case of government by elites is irrefutable." - William Fulbright, U.S. Senator, 1963
"The Trilateral Commission is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. ... they will rule the future." - Barry Goldwater, U.S. Senator, 1964
"The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole." - Professor Carroll Quigley, 1966
"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But the work is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto determination practiced in past centuries." - David Rockefeller, Trilateral Commission Founder, 1991
"Today, America would be outraged if UN troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow, they will be grateful! This would especially be true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond, whether real of promulgated that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by a World Government." - Henry Kissinger, 1991
"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. ... corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed." - Abraham Lincoln
"One of the main purposes for the control and power of the Establishment media is to keep the masses deceived and ignorant about their rights and oppressions of their rights." - Charles Weisman

Some people argue that the income tax is not constitutional, that the amendment was not properly ratified. Alternate proposals include a national sales tax (taxing expenditures only instead of income) or tax on land only. The argument is that taxing income is prohibitive, and taxes should be placed on activities that should be discouraged instead.
I believe it is technically unconstitutional to compel a taxpayer to support services or policies that either do not represent or are contrary to personal religious beliefs. However, given that public policies and institutions are a mix of things that different groups or individuals support in one case but not in another, it is generally "assumed" that it comes out even, so it is more difficult to separate the funding than to keep as is.
Overall, if more government agencies had to compete for funding similar to nonprofit groups based on their effectiveness in serving the public, this would reduce government waste and force departments to conserve resources in order to sustain. If taxes were voluntary, in that taxpayers had a choice which services to fund, government might be held more directly accountable to the public.
