I just bought a fantastic wool sweater. problem: it itches like crazy. I know you're not supposed to wash anything wool, so any non-washing ideas for making it less scratchy? or will it soften over time?
or, worst of all, am i doomed to wear a scratchy sweater forever?

Handwash it in a sink or of such, then I'd tuble dry it for about 5 to 10 minutes then air dry it.

Or, you may be allergic to wool.
I don't know.

But try the first and I think it'll be okay.

usually wool is always scratchy. there's nothing you can really do about it. my brother hates wool for that very reason. try wearing a shirt under it.

you may also be allergic to the wool.
