The first time I kissed a girl I was hooked, I was 6 yrs old then. I don't think 6yr olds make choices like that, they just go with what feels right to them. Thats what I did, and it has felt right ever since. So no, honestly, I did not choose.

Why should 100% of the answers be the same? People can only speak for themselves, not for others.

And what gives you the right to enquire into other people's sexuality or the reasons thereof? Do people here ask you questions about what you do with or to your wife?

I didn't "choose," nor has any other gay man or lesbian that I know. I have always been attracted to women, not to men. I firmly believe I was born this way, that God created me this way. I'd like to know how many heterosexuals "chose" to be straight? or did something happen to them to make them "turn" straight?

I'll be 100% totally honest. I did NOT choose to be gay. I was born the way I am.
End of discussion.

In 58 years I have never met anyone who chose it. I certainly didn't choose it. Why would I lie? you have no idea who I really am. --makes no difference to me.
BUT why are you so interested in gay people...you're supposedly straight..but your profile reads mostly gay and lesbian q and a...just curious...please don't sway the answer.

Every boy or girl thats gay that I know have an attraction to the same sex. Either bi or gay, they have an affection toward the same sex. No one thats gay or bi that I have a friendship with chooses to be with the same sex.

Never made a conscious choice to be gay. I've tried to "choose" to be straight when I was younger but it never took.

Lesbian life chose me though I was not aware of it until I was 18-19.

If I were able to choose my sexuality, I most certainly would have been straight.

I tried choosing my sexuality for almost 30 years. I just doesn't work that way.

I've been a flaming homo since about 3 years old.

If I chose it, I guess I did so right out of the womb.
