Tim Horton was Superman, the best defenceman in the league. He was part of the Leafs Cup wins in the sixties. He started the business because he wasn't earning enough money as a hockey player to feel secure about his future. He was traded to Buffalo in the early seventies .He died in a car crash. His widow accepted 1 million from Ron Joyce for the 50% equity that she inherited. She has since tried to get more, but so far is s.o.l.Tim Horton was not impaired when he died.I s there any more information you want to steal or make up,guy above?

Miles Gilbert Horton was a famous hockey player in the '50s and '60s. He played for most of his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and retired but the Buffalo Sabres got him to come back and Play a few seasons in Buffalo. In 1974, he died in a car accident while on a drive from Toronto to Buffalo from a game. When he retired, he and someone else (I forgot his name) decided to open up a Coffee and Donut shop.

He was a former partner with the Dunkin' Donuts guy, ( "time to make the donuts"), until their was a huge argument over how much jelly to put in the donuts. A fist fight broke out and they haven't talked since. Tim Horton opened his donut chain in Canada, and Dunkin Donuts did not want to compete against his former friend, so he moved to America to sell coffee and donuts. It was an ugly mess. Oh yeah, and he played hockey for Canada's own Toronto Maple Leafs.

I heard you guys in the east, especially Kitchener love to eat your donuts. I always think its funny that people think Tim Horton's is Canadian. It was bought by Wendy's which is an American company. There is nothing Canadian about eating donuts, lol
